La Bodegueta Provenca

After Oliver’s first baseball tournament this weekend (for FC Barcelona U-12 baseball team) we went to a new favourite place on Calle Provenca in BCN – La Bodegueta Provenca.

Its a new bar/restaurant and a more upmarket version of the original La Bodegueta which is close by.

You can see my dirty feet after a long day playing ball with Oliver in between baseball matches ;-)

Cadaques

Back in March we took a day trip to beautiful Cadaques on the Costa Brava near the French border. Cadaques is famous for being the home of the painter Salvador Dali and is still popular with painters – easy to see why.

Oliver on Barcelona Diary

On Norway National Day (May 17), Pia and Oliver went to the party organised by the Norwegian Consulate at a lovely house in the Collserolla mountains above Barcelona.

Oliver was filmed by Diari de Barcelona, a local channel with foreign language content. Go forward to 04:12 to hear/see Oliver….

Day trip to Aubaygues

We took a day trip from Barcelona to the South of France last week – to Aubaygues village, close to Lodeve, to be exact.

When I was 9 years old we moved to Aubaygues from England, and I went to school in the local village – St Etienne de Gorgas. Aubaygues is a lovely village as you can see, and its the first time I have visited since we left when I was 11 years old.

Oliver and Pia also got to see Aubaygues for the first time. It was a lovely day out :-)

Oliver's second riding lesson

Oliver today went for his second horse riding lesson at the Hipica Severino centre in Sant Cugat, just over the mountain from Barcelona.

Pecas (freckles in Spanish) is Oliver’s horse, and today the lesson mainly consisted of controlling the reins, walking and trotting.

Next Saturday, the lesson will be a walk through the forest :-)
